Buried in the DeBaun Cemetery Her stone says: Elizabeth H wife of Henry Huffman died November 11, 1848. The De Baun Cemetery is on property being
farmed by Ronnie Brooks, Rr 1 box 71, Tangier, IN 47592 the cemetery is on the township line between Penn and Liberty Townships.

Notes for HENRY HUFFMAN:
Notes from Frances Wellman Hoffman state that Henry was possibly married to a Nancy Elihu of NC, and died in 1844 in IL.
An original land grant was made to Henry Oct 10, 1827for 80 acres in Section 25 of Liberty Township and 80 acres in section 34 in of liberty township. In march of 1832 Henry and Elizabeth sold the 80 acres of land in section 25 to their son Eli Huffman. Eli sold the land to Hugh Russell on Feb.16,1835. Henry and Elizabeth also sold the 80 acres in section 34 to their son Lawson Huffman in 1832. In 1836 Lawson received a land grant for 40 acres in section 27 and His father Henry bought 80 acres in section 27 this same 80 acres was conveyed to James Adkins and Joseph Bowsher. (James Adkins is the Husband of Henry and Elizabeths daughter, Elizabeth C Huffman)
Henry and Thomas K. Harvey put up surety bond for Andrew McMasters to be the Gaurdian of the six living York children.

LAWSON ANDREW4 HUFFMAN (ELIZABETH BETSY3 HOOTS, MICHAEL2, FREDERICK1 HUTH) was born September 28, 1805 in Lincoln Co., (now Catawba Co.), North Carolina, and died April 01, 1890 in Parke County, Indiana. He married MARY RAWLINGS Abt. 1829 in Indiana, daughter of AARON RAWLINGS and REBECCA SMITH. She was born February 14, 1811 in Ky, and died July 29, 1878 in Parke County, Indiana.

Notes for LAWSON ANDREW HUFFMAN:
Buried in the DeBaun Cemetery with his wife and mother. The property the cemetery is on is being farmed by Ronnie Brooks, Rr 1 Box 71 Tangier, IN 47592
SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 Section 35, 17 north 8 West of Penn Township. That is 1 1/2 milesfrom the rockport covered bridge, and 1 mile north of Sugarcreek Bottoms. Way off the beaten path, this is 1 1/4 miles of gravel road that goes past the original settlement that Lawson and Henry Huffman made in Parke Co. By original land grants in 1827. The two farms join and it is about 2 miles back through the woods. There are 70 graves there and Lawson and Marys are in good shape. there are several unmarked site between Elizabeth and Lawson.
In March of 1832 Lawson Purchased 80 acres from his father and mother in section 34 Liberty Township. In 1836 Lawson received a grant for 40 acres in Section 27. In 1849 Lawson purchased 45 acres in section 34&23 from Andrew Linebarger. This same property was transfered to Ira Huffman in 1876, and was sold then to Soloman F. McMasters
1870 Census shows Sarah McMasters living with her grandparents and Ira Was living there also.
